The 2012-13 U-12 Girls soccer season has been great!  This year’s team has placed or made to at least the semi-final of almost every tournament they’ve participated in this year.  Over the last 4 years, the Castro Valley 2000-2001 girl’s team started as a silver flight team and has developed into one of the premier teams Northern California.  Here are the 2012-2013 tournament results:

Albion Cup (San Diego): 1 win, 1 loss, 1 tie

Cal-Cup (Sacramento):  1 win, 2 losses

Juventus Tournament of Champions: Champions Premier Division

Mustang Stampede:  Semi-Finalist

Dublin Fall Classic: Semi-Finalist

As the 2012-2013 season comes to a close we are very excited to what the U-13 season has to bring.  Over the last 4 years, we’ve been under the tutelage of the Director of Coaching for the 24-7 UK Soccer Academy, Andy Hulbert.  The girls have really developed, both tactically and technically under his direction.  We have 3 PDP players one of which is also an ODP Player. The team is on its way to become one of the most competitive teams in the area. As we say goodbye to Andy, we will be welcoming Garry Agnew to our coaching staff.  Garry’s experience playing in the English Football league and having international playing honors for Scotland, coupled with an outstanding coaching career will further develop our players. We are looking forward to what the 2013-14 season has to bring!

“The development of all of our players over the last 3-4 years have been outstanding.  When we joined the club (U-10), Castro Valley was in the early stages of developing their team. The development has paid off as we have moved into premier.    Our first year in Premier was a rocky one, but we are expecting to get much better.  There are kids and families from all kinds of backgrounds, and have a very diverse group of kids.  The families are great, the kids are great, and the coaches can’t get enough soccer, which is also great.  There has been a lot of development the last few years and the coaches have really given the kids a love or the game."
