ARE YOU A SOCCER COACH, PLAYER, PARENT, OR FAN?
The Castro Valley Soccer Club always has a need for quality referees, so here’s your chance to help youth soccer players and join the elite profession of referees in the U.S. Soccer Federation. Have you ever watched or played a game and disagreed with an official’s call or not understood what was called? Do you want to learn more about the 17 Laws of the Game and help CVSC provide safe and fair soccer games? By becoming affiliated with the CVSC Referee Program, you may also have a chance to referee with and/or meet state, national, and FIFA referees.
For Adults: This is an opportunity to manage a safe environment for youth soccer and enforce respect for the game. Additionally, other youth referees will have role models. Adult referees can eventually serve as mentors for younger referees and/or officiate older age groups (since it is not generally a good idea to have youths officiating games with players older than themselves). By volunteering to referee, you can help to make this an even better season for our sons and daughters. You’ll have opportunities to test and graduate to advanced levels (grades).
For Youths 12 - 18 Years Old: This is an opportunity to improve your understanding of the game, become a better player, and have fun working as a team with both old and new friends while earning good money at the same time. The leadership skills you learn will carry over to all aspects of your life.
If interested, contact Referee Program Director, Colin Moy at email@example.com by sending name, address, DOB, phone no., and email address.
