Registration forms must be complete and fees must be paid in full before a player is placed on a team. Exception for those who qualify for Financial Aid. In that case all registration and financial aid forms must be completed. Players won't be placed on a team until a registered coach is available. Priority in team assignments will be given to those players with a parent coach and earliest registration.
Troubleshooting: For general questions around the GotSport system please refer to the following help page which should be able to answer most questions.
Castro Valley Soccer Club’s 2025 coach and player recreational registration opens May 1st. Player registration closes May 31st.
Payment information and payment is collected at registration but if a team is not available for your player, a full refund will be returned.
Teams will be formed after May 31st and only when a coach has been secured.
Players are placed as close to a first-registered order as possible.
Practice and game days and times are not known until August, right before practices start, which is well after the refund cut off of June 30th. Make sure you can adjust your schedule to any of the times available to your players’ program. Refunds are NOT given because practice or game times aren’t convenient. The best way to control your practice times is to be your player’s Head Coach.
Coaches coach their kid and their kid's mutual buddy (MUST be mutual and registered before May 31st.)
If a head coach and their assistant coach are registered by May 31st, they are assured four players (coaches' kids and their mutual buddies)
Mutual buddies are a top priority if both players are registered before May 31st and in the same division (birth year).
For Academy and U9-U12, no more than four at one school on a team.
Even distribution of grade levels (and birth years for combined years).
Even the distribution of years played.
Players can play up a year but never down. Playing up requires that a parent or guardian coaches the player.
Coaches can choose their practice days, times, and fields as soon as they’ve completed all coaching requirements and fields are secured.
If you withdraw your registration on or before June 30th, you will receive a refund minus the administration fee. July 1st and later no refunds.
Our recreational program caters to U04-U19 players, please see below information on our programs. We encourage everyone to sign up as soon as possible to ensure your place in the program.
